- Peel, core and cut apples. Mix apples together with the other 1⁄2 cup of white sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon in a large bowl. Place in a 8x8 baking dish or another shallow 2 quart dish. Pile topping mixture on top. Place on a regular cookie sheet (for better stability) and bake for 55-65 minutes or until apples are cooked through and topping is nice golden brown and bubbly.
