- Make the wrappers: Place the flour and salt into a bowl. Add the vegetable oil and water. Combine and knead until smooth. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 30 minutes.
- Make Filling: 1. Boil the potato until soft and then mash it. Add the curry powder and salt for flavor. Parboil the green beans, cut into 1cm pieces, and add to the potato.
- Make Filling 2: Place the vegetable oil and ground meat into a small pot. Cook until the meat changes color and then add the minced onion. Flavor with ketchup and salt, add the flour, and stir everything together.
- Divide the wrapper dough into 4 portions, roll out each portion into a circle, and cut in half.
- Fold over the cut edges to form a circle and stuff with the filling. Make four potato filled samosas and four ground meat samosas.
- Use a fork to tightly seal the edges closed.
- Deep-fry in medium-hot oil until crispy. Then they are done.
- You can also try a baked version. They are easily and healthily baked in the oven. The crispy texture doesn't change.
- You can also optionally dip in yogurt sauce, sweet chili sauce, or any other sauce. Yogurt Sauce: Combine 3 Tbsp yogurt, 1⁄2 tsp honey, 1⁄2 tsp lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Sprinkle with 1 tsp dried parsley and that's it.
- Or try combining some feta cheese and broccoli for another version. Sprinkle with lots of black pepper and it will become a perfect snack for drinking.
- In order to make them bite-sized, divide the dough into 6 portions for a total of 12 wrappers.
- Then just deep-fry them until crispy.
- Since the cheese has plenty of salt, they taste fine as is.
- To use the leftover wrapper dough: Roll it out thin and long. Sprinkle with ground black pepper and salt.
- Roll it up and cut it in half lengthwise.
- Fold it in half and twist.
- Toast in the toaster oven to get a crunchy and spicy snack.
- Have samosas with some yogurt salad
- You can also enjoy the twisted stick with some salad.
