Add the beef, beef broth and bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a slow simmer. Add beef back to dutch oven then add broth, wine, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer.
Steps to make Beef stew:
- Heat olive oil to pan add beef cook until brown remove from pan
- Add red wine vinegar stir scraping any meat bits with it
- I use a crock pot add scrapings and beef broth meat potatoes carrots cook on high for about 3-4 hours until meat is about tender cook on medium until ready to eat… at this time I added canned green beans you can add corn as well for variety
Add beef back to dutch oven then add broth, wine, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer. In a small bowl mix together the flour, salt, and pepper; pour over meat, and stir to coat meat with flour mixture. Stir in the garlic, bay leaf, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, onion, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery. Add beef, a few pieces at a time, and toss to coat.
