Add the beef, beef broth and bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a slow simmer. In a small bowl mix together the flour, salt, and pepper; pour over meat, and stir to coat meat with flour mixture. Stir in the garlic, bay leaf, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, onion, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery.
Steps to make Beef stew:
- Heat olive oil to pan add beef cook until brown remove from pan
- Add red wine vinegar stir scraping any meat bits with it
- I use a crock pot add scrapings and beef broth meat potatoes carrots cook on high for about 3-4 hours until meat is about tender cook on medium until ready to eat… at this time I added canned green beans you can add corn as well for variety
In a small bowl mix together the flour, salt, and pepper; pour over meat, and stir to coat meat with flour mixture. Stir in the garlic, bay leaf, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, onion, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery. Add beef back to dutch oven then add broth, wine, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer. Add beef, a few pieces at a time, and toss to coat.
