  5. Cut the cabbage and add to the crockpot and let cook on low for 2 more hours.

Place corned beef in large pot or Dutch oven and cover with water. Add the spice packet that came with the corned beef. Cover pot and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and set over high heat. Bring to a boil, decrease the heat to low and cook.
