- Oven 325 for 2 hours.
In an ovenproof Dutch oven, brown steak in oil on both sides. Arrange onion slices between layers of meat. In a large skillet, brown steak, half at a time, in butter. Add tomato sauce, lemon juice, soy sauce and Worcestershire; mix well. Add the onion and green pepper.
